
Ingredients
- Spinach – 3 cups chopped
- Moong dal – 150 grams or 1/4 cup
- Onions -2
- Tomatoes -2
- Green chilli- 1 or 2 depending on ur spice level
- Turmeric pwd – 1/2 tsp
- Sambhar pwd – 2 tsp
- Water- 3 cups
- Salt as required
For the Tempering
- Oil-3 tsp
- Mustard and urad dal- 1 tsp
- Red chilli – 3
- Asafoetida- 1/4 tsp
Method
- In a pressure cooker add the washed dal, chopped spinach,chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilli, turmeric pwd, sambhar pwd and salt. Add 3 cups of water .Stir to combine.
- Pressure cook for 4 whistles. Once the pressure releases stir and adjust the consistency.
- Transfer the tempering into the dal . Serve
