
Ingredients
To Grind
- Coconut- 1 cup ( remove the brown part and cut into small pieces )
- Red chillies- 2
- Roasted gram dal- 2 tsp
- Salt as required
For The Tempering
- Oil- 2 tsp
- Mustard- 1 tsp
- Curry leaves- 1 sprig
Method
- In a blender add the coconut, red chillies, salt and roasted gram dal.
- Blend all the ingredients well.
- Add 4 tsp of water to get a smooth thick chutney.
- If you don’t like the chutney to be thick then add 1/4 cup of water while blending.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add all the tempering ingredients and once it starts to splutter add the ground chutney. Mix for a minute in low flame.
- Turn off the gas.
