
Ingredients
- Soya chunks/ Meal maker- 1 cup
- Water – 2 cups to boil the Soya
- Green chilli- 1
- Fennel seeds- 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds/ Jeera – 1 tsp
- Poppy seeds- 1/4 tsp
- Pepper – 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Garlic – 6 cloves
- Ginger – 1 inch
- Roasted gram dal- 2 tsp
- Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander leaves – 2 tsp chopped
- Onion – 1 medium size chopped
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Method
- Boil the soya chunks in 2 cups of water for 10 minutes. Drain and wash it in cold water and Keep aside.
- Once cooled squeeze out the excess water from the the soya chunks.
- To a blender add the soya chunks, green chilli, ginger and garlic, pepper, poppy seeds, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, roasted gram dal, chilli pwd, coriander pwd, garam masala pwd.
- Grind it coarsely or semi paste and place the mixture in a bowl.
- Add chopped onion , coriander leaves , required salt and mix well.
- Shape them into small balls.
- Heat oil in a pan and deep fry 4 balls at a time in medium flame and fry until brown .
