
Ingredients
- Chicken- 500 grams
- Palak spinach- 200 grams
- Onions- 2
- Tomatoes- 2
- Ginger garlic paste – 1.5 tsp
- Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
- Chilli powder- 1 tsp
- Coriander powder- 2 tsp
- Green chilli- 1
- Coconut – 1/4 cup ( chopped into small pieces)
- Oil- 5-6 tsp
- Salt as required
- Water – 500ml
Grind To Paste
- Take the spinach and wash well. Heat a pan and add the spinach , blanch for 4 minutes. Let it cool.
- To a blender add the spinach , green chilli and coconut and grind to a smooth paste. Set aside.
Method
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
- Once the oil is hot add the chopped onions and sauté for 3 minutes.
- Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.
- Add the spice powders and mix well . After 3-4 minutes add the chicken and sauté for 5 minutes.
- Add the ground paste and sauté for 3 minutes.
- Add required salt.
- Pour in 2 cups or 500ml of water, mix well and pressure cook for 4 whistles.
- Switch off the gas and let the pressure release . Check the taste and add salt if required .
