Beef Pepper Masala

Ingredients

  • Beef – 500 grams
  • Water – 2 cups / 500 ml
  • Onions – 2
  • Tomato- 1
  • Ginger garlic paste- 1.5 tsp
  • Green chillies- 3
  • Pepper powder – 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves- 2 sprigs
  • Oil- 4 tsp
  • Salt as required
  • Coriander leaves – 2 tblsp finely chopped for garnishing

Method

  1. Wash the meat well.
  2. In a pressure cooker add the washed meat, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder , two cups of water and pressure cook on high flame for 8 to 10 whistles.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add curry leaves, chopped onions and green chillies. Sauté for 3 minutes.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Add the chopped tomato and sauté.
  6. Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and 2 pepper powder. Mix the masala and add in the cooked beef .
  7. Let the masala cook for 5 minutes.
  8. Add salt and 1/4 cup beef stock and cook on medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes. Turn off flame .
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
