Potato fry

Ingredients

  • Potatoes- 4 medium size
  • Kashmiri chilli powder – 1 to 1.5 tsp
  • Oil – 3 tbsp
  • Salt as required

Method

  1. Peel and cut the potatoes into small pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped potatoes. Sauté for 2 minutes on medium low flame.
  3. Cover the pan with a lid and cook on low flame for 3 to 4 minutes. Give the potatoes a stir every minute so they cook evenly.
  4. Now check if the potatoes are cooked else cook for another 3 minutes.
  5. Once the potatoes are cooked add chilli powder( if you like it more spicy add another 1/2 tsp chilli powder) and salt and mix well so that they are coated evenly.
  6. Sauté the potatoes for a minute then turn off the gas. Serve
