
Ingredients
For the marination
- Chicken- 500 grams
- Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
- Chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Grind to fine powder
- Cloves- 3
- Cinnamon- 1 inch piece
- Cardamom- 1
- Pepper- 1 tsp
- Jeera- 1 tsp
For the masala
- Onions-2 finely chopped
- Tomatoes- 2 roughly chopped
- Chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder- 2 tsp
- Oil- 5 tsp
- Curry leaves for garnishing
Method
- In a pressure cooker add the marinated chicken, chopped tomatoes, ground powder and 1 cup water and pressure cook for 4 whistles.
- Once the pressure is released remove the lid.
- Turn on the gas and on high flame let it cook for 5 minutes or until dry.
- Heat oil in a pan, add the chopped onions and sauté until brown, add chilli powder, coriander powder and sauté for two minutes.
- Add the chicken and mix well.
- Add the curry leaves and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Turn off the gas and serve.
