
Ingredients
For the potato masala
- Boiled Potato – 4
- Onions- 2 finely chopped
- Tomato- 1 finely chopped
- Garlic- 5 cloves chopped finely
- Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
- Chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
- Salt as required
- Mustard – 1 tsp
- Oil- 4 tsp
Method
- Wash the potatoes and put them into a pressure cooker. Add 2 cups water and pressure cook for 4 whistles.
- Once the pressure is released remove the potatoes and mash them.
- In a pan add oil, once the oil is hot add mustard.
- Once the mustard starts to crackle add the chopped onions, garlic and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and required salt and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add turmeric powder, chilli powder and mix well.
- After a minute add the mashed potato and mix well to combine.
- Let the masala cook for 3 to 4 minutes on low flame.
- Turn off gas.

For the sandwich
- Bread slices
- Butter as required
- Cheese slices
Method
- Apply butter on the bread slices.
- Heat a pan and add the bread slices.
- Spread the potato masala on one bread and place one slice cheese.
- Put the other slice on top.
- Toast on both sides for few seconds on low flame. Serve
