Banana Fritters

Ingredients

  • Ripe Bananas- 3
  • Wheat flour- 1 cup
  • Salt- a pinch
  • Jaggery- 1/4 cup
  • Baking soda- a pinch
  • Cardamom powder- 1/4 tsp
  • Water- 1 cup

Method

  1. In a bowl add the peeled bananas and mash them with a fork.
  2. Now add wheat four, salt, cardamom powder,baking soda to the mashed bananas and keep aside.
  3. In a pan add 1 cup water and the jaggery. Heat on medium flame until it melts. Turn off gas.
  4. Filter the syrup and pour into the banana mixture. Mix well to combine.
  5. Keep the batter aside for 15 minutes.
  6. Heat oil in a kadai. Once the oil is hot drop in 1 tbsp of batter each time.
  7. Fry the fritters on low to medium flame until dark golden brown.
  8. Drain the fritters on a tissue paper for the oil to absorb.
